This Month’s Spotlight: Linda Peterson, ELC Teacher
For 19 extraordinary years, Mrs. Linda Peterson has been the heartbeat of the Early Learning Center at Ascension Christian, weaving a tapestry of love, faith, and learning that has touched countless lives. Since stepping into the toddler room in 2005, Ms. Linda has poured her soul into nurturing the youngest members of our school family, creating a haven where little ones take their first steps toward growth and discovery. Her patience, kindness, and unwavering Christian spirit have left an indelible mark on every child, parent, and colleague blessed to know her.
In Ms. Linda’s classroom, every day is a celebration of wonder. Her warm smile—radiant as a sunrise—lights up the Early Learning Center, transforming the toddler room into a sanctuary of joy and comfort. With gentle hands, she guides wobbly toddlers through their earliest adventures, from mastering new words to sharing toys with newfound friends. Her soothing voice calms tears, her playful spirit sparks giggles, and her boundless compassion ensures every child feels seen and cherished. For nearly two decades, she has been a steady presence, helping children build the confidence to shine while planting seeds of faith and kindness that will grow for a lifetime.
Beyond her work with the children, Ms. Linda’s selflessness ripples through our entire community. She is the first to lend a hand to a struggling coworker, offer a prayer for a family in need, or share an encouraging word that lifts spirits on a challenging day. Her faith shines through in every action, embodying the heart of a true Christian educator. Whether she’s crafting colorful lessons, organizing holiday sing-alongs, or welcoming parents with her trademark warmth, Ms. Linda’s generosity and grace have made the ELC a stronger, more loving place.
As we approach her 20th year with Ascension Christian, we pause to honor Ms. Linda’s remarkable legacy. She has shaped generations of young hearts, leaving behind a trail of laughter, learning, and love. Parents speak of her as a godsend, colleagues call her an inspiration, and the children—past and present—carry her lessons like treasures. To Ms. Linda, we say: thank you. Thank you for your devotion, your faith, and the endless love you’ve poured into our children, our staff, and our school family.
