BECOMING ALL GOD HAS PLANNED YOU TO BE

  • In the Bible, we see many examples of partnerships, both human and divine. God partnered with humans to create the world, and He continues to partner with us today to fulfill His purposes. Jesus partnered with His disciples to spread the good news of the Gospel.

    A Practical Application:

    • Building Trust: A true partner is someone you can trust. This involves being honest, reliable, and supportive.
    • Sharing Responsibilities: A partner shares the workload and responsibilities. They are willing to help when needed and celebrate each other's successes.
    • Communicating Effectively: Open and honest communication is essential for any partnership. This involves listening actively, expressing oneself clearly, and resolving conflicts peacefully.
    • Encouraging and Supporting Each Other: A partner is someone who lifts you up and cheers you on. They offer encouragement, support, and accountability.

By building strong, Christ-centered partnerships, we can experience deeper levels of love, joy, and fulfillment. Let's strive to be the kind of partner that God would be proud of.

The succes of Ascension Christian School depends on building high quality relationships within the community. Partnerships often propel programming towards excellence.

  • Just as a seed grows into a mighty tree, we too are meant to grow into the image of Christ. The Bible is filled with stories of people who grew spiritually, such as Abraham, Moses, and David. They all started as ordinary individuals but, through their faith and obedience to God, they became extraordinary.

    A Practical Application:

    • Cultivating a Relationship with God: Growth begins with a deep and personal relationship with God. Spending time in prayer, reading the Bible, and worshiping together helps us to connect with Him and receive His guidance.
    • Embracing God's Word: The Bible is the Word of God, and it is a powerful tool for spiritual growth. By reading and studying the Bible, we can learn more about God's character and His plan for our lives.
    • Surrounding Yourself with Positive Influences: The people we spend time with can significantly impact our spiritual growth. Surrounding ourselves with like-minded believers can encourage and support us on our journey.
    • Practicing Spiritual Disciplines: Practices such as prayer, fasting, and meditation can help us to grow spiritually. These disciplines can deepen our connection with God and help us to resist temptation.

By embracing the process of growth, we can become the people God created us to be. Let us trust in His timing and His plan for our lives.

As well, our school improvement plan requires constant review in order to grow in areas of teaching and learning. Attaining Cognia accreditation is a result of routine evaluation and monitoring of student progress. The disignation of the accreditation indicates that we are challenging students, teachers, staff and our community towards excellence by improving outcomes in areas of Leadership, Academics, Resources, and Teaching and Learning.

  • Just as a rubber band stretches to its fullest potential when pulled, we too can stretch ourselves to reach new heights. In the Bible, we see examples of people who stretched themselves to follow God's calling. Abraham left his homeland to follow God's promise, and David, a young shepherd boy, faced a giant with unwavering faith.

    A Practical Application:

    • Stepping Out of Comfort Zones: A person who stretches themselves is willing to try new things, even if they feel uncertain or afraid.
    • Embracing Challenges: They view challenges as opportunities to grow and learn.
    • Pursuing Excellence: They set high standards for themselves and strive to achieve them.

By stretching ourselves, we not only improve our skills and abilities but also deepen our relationship with God. As we trust in His strength, we can overcome any obstacle and achieve great things.

Stretching to achieve higher outcomes often requires hard work and sacrifices. For all of us at Ascension Christian we must look to attain higher goals with a focus on leaving behind things that hold us down and focus on what is possible. Working smarter to implement a strategy to improve will help us stretch towards being our best.

  • A persistent person is like a determined athlete who refuses to give up, even when the race seems tough. They press on, fueled by faith and hope. Just as the apostle Paul wrote, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7), a persistent person is committed to the long haul. They don't quit when things get hard; they rely on God's strength to keep going.

    A Practical Application:

    • Overcoming Obstacles: A persistent person sees challenges as opportunities to grow. They don't let setbacks discourage them, but rather use them as stepping stones to success.
    • Pursuing Goals: A persistent person sets their sights on a goal and refuses to give up until they achieve it. They are patient and diligent, knowing that good things take time.
    • Serving Others: A persistent person is committed to serving others, even when it's difficult. They don't let obstacles or discouragement hinder their desire to help others.

By understanding the true meaning of persistence and applying it to their lives, these students can become more resilient, determined, and effective in their pursuit of God's will.

  • The Bible is filled with stories of people who improved their lives through faith and obedience to God. David, a young shepherd boy, grew into a mighty king. The apostle Paul, once a persecutor of Christians, became one of the greatest evangelists of all time.

    A Practical Application:

    • Seeking God's Guidance: To improve, we must first seek God's guidance. Through prayer, Bible study, and meditation, we can discern His will for our lives.
    • Embracing Feedback: Feedback, whether positive or negative, is a valuable tool for improvement. We should be open to constructive criticism and use it to grow.
    • Setting Goals: Setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals can help us to focus our efforts and track our progress.
    • Taking Action: Improvement requires action. We must be willing to step out of our comfort zones and put in the effort to make positive changes.
    • Celebrating Progress: Celebrating our successes, no matter how small, can motivate us to keep improving.

By striving to improve in all areas of our lives, we can honor God and make a positive impact on the world.
